Health, Saitta and Garavaglia on comparison with government and trade union organizations of doctors

A summit was held yesterday at the Ministry of Health among the representatives of the trade union organizations of the Medici, the Executive (Minister of Health and the representatives of the Ministry of Public Function and the Ministry of Education of Scientific Research) and the Regions (Antonio Saitta, Coordinator of the Health Commission of the Conference of the Regions) and Massimo Garavaglia (president of the Regions-Sanity sector committee).

"It was a positive meeting – explained Saitta – and the work and comparison path with government and trade union organizations continues on the enhancement of human resources in various capacities engaged in the National Health Service, on the territory and in the health and hospital facilities. Among the main themes of comparison those concerning the standard relating to the needs of the medical staff, on which, however, the Health Commission of the Conference of the Regions is already at work to build a homogeneous model to be proposed to the Ministry and those concerning the training process by involving different types of structures, university and hospital, with the aim of standardizing the system. It must be said that we recorded today, after the adhesion of the Ministry of Health and all the trade unions, also the availability of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research to review the competition mechanisms, the rankings and the duration of training.

The comparison, however – concluded Saitta – will resume shortly ".
“We also confronted each other – added Garavaglia – On a training based on competence, with a gradual insertion in the assistance sector, also studying hypotheses of possible contractual forms for the last two -year training. A positive idea on which, however, more deepening will be necessary.
Finally- announced Garavaglia- the next Regional Sector Committee, scheduled for April 13, will fire the supplementary document to the address for the convenient medicine, which will allow the resumption of negotiations with general practitioners and pediatricians of free choice".
